Trend :: Color Blocking :: Purple & Orange

Color Blocking is one of the biggest trends this Spring/Summer and no color combination has been more popular on celebs than PURPLE & ORANGE. Rihanna rocked the trend with some orange pants, and a magenta colored sweatshirt paired with some major gold pointed toe mary-janes. Jessica Alba recently wore this altered Diane Von Furstenberg dress to the CFDA Awards. At the X-Factor auditions in LA, Cheryl Cole wore purple wide-legged pants with a ruffled orange tank top accessorized with a turquoise belt. Camilla Belle wore the full-on Gucci Spring 2011 ensemble that helped spark the trend to a RocNation & Gucci pre-grammy brunch back in February. January Jones and Jennifer Lawrence, who both stared in X-Men: First Class this month, were each photographed in the Gucci Spring 2011 purple blouse, gold belt & orange skirt for the covers of Flare and Marie Claire Magazine. Lara Stone and Kim Kardashian have also both sported the same exact combination, Lara for a recent cover of French Vogue and Kim at a recent launch for her fragrance. I think the color blocking trend in general is so nice and looks so "summery" while keeping a polished look, and never looking to casual. The purple and orange combination however is my favorite paring and I think all of these ladies have rocked it well! Now take some inspiration from these looks and go out and put one together for yourself!

Victoria Beckham graces yet another cover of VOGUE Magazine, this month its for the Turkish edition. In the editorial the fashion designer wears none of her own collection, and sports some hair extensions. The shoot was photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth. The whole spread is not that of "typical Victoria" she isn't in any of her own designs and doesn't do her infamous "hands in the hair" pose. I LOVE everything about the editorial nonetheless, I mean its Victoria Beckham, part of my holy trinity! The issue hits the press at this weekend. ENJOY!
