The 2010 CIG at the Metropolitan Museum of Art took place tonight in NYC. For those of you who don't know, this event is one of the most important nights in the fashion industry. The Gala brings together many of the worlds top designers and celebrities who are dressed and invited to the event by a designer from each fashion house. The celebs become a bit of a "muse" for the night (if you will) to the designer they're accompanied by. This years theme is "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity" and it is hosted by Patrick Robinson from The Gap, & co-hosted by American Vogues Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour and Oprah Winfrey.
"Artist tell lies. We tell lies and we kill for them to make them real. It is my personal opinion that art is not just the truth it is the truth plus a dream, a fantasy, a fabrication of what we hope or wish the truth would be, a lie."
