Rachel Roy at MACY*S Atlanta

Today (5/8) I went to MACY*S at Lenox Square in Atlanta to meet fashion designer Rachel Roy and view her new collection for Rachel Rachel Roy. Me and my sister got an invitation from one of the Rachel Rachel Roy specialist at MACY*S & I've been looking forward to the event for a couple weeks. We had first priority to meet her because we had an invitation, so when we got there we got to be first in line! The event started with an informal fashion show, with 4 models at a time modeling different looks from the collection. All the girls were styled really well from hair, clothes, shoes & accessories, I was impressed.







After viewing some of the looks, and enjoying mocktails & finger food, Rachel arrived! Let me tell you that woman is ABSOLUTELY stunning, she is so tall, statuesque, and just truly a gorgeous woman! When our turn came to meet her I wasn't really nervous just excited to get a chance to talk to her and get a picture! My sister went first and mentioned to her that I was a stylist, so when I introduced myself to her she immidtiley said "so your an aspiring stylist?". After that she continued to give me some great advice about getting started as a stylist and breaking into the industry. She was such a breath of fresh air and very friendly, much more so than I anticipated. She seemed very interested in getting to know her fans and didn't hesitate to start conversation.




After meeting her and getting an autograph, it was time to shop. My sister and mom had picked out some clothes while we were waiting and they went to try them on right after. My sister got 3 really cute pieces, 2 dresses & a romper while my mom got a shirt dress and tunic. Then of course we had to stop by the shoe store on the way home and they both picked out some really great summer shoes (heels & flats).







It was a good day overall, & I enjoyed the time I spent with my family & meeting Rachel. So far this year I've meet B.Scott, Tim Gunn, & Rachel Roy! 2010 is going exactly the way I wanted it to and im so excited to see what comes next for me!! =)
